I'm a student at Collège Ahuntsic in the diagnostic imaging program. It is a technical program, which means we have five classes per semester, plus the regular classes like Philosophy,  English etc...The program is to prepare ourselves to work as a medical imaging technologist. It is a really interesting job where you can do a lot of different things in the radiology department of an hospital or a private centre like MIR, CT-Scan, X-rays and a lot more. This semester, one of the courses that I'll take is to learn how to take x-rays of the spine and the head.

The third year of the program is mostly an internship, added to one final class between this internship. Everyone wants to do it in a hospital close to their home, so it can get a little competitive because there are a lot of students and not so many hospital, but all of the classmates find a good place to do their internship. Then, when we finish the internship and get the diploma, the last step to achieve before getting the right to work in a hospital as a medical imaging technologist is to success the exam of the OTIMROEPMQ, the examination of the order of technologist. It's a very difficult exam to success and it needs a lot of studies.
